Can I send you my song?

Of course, you can. The best way to send me your music is to upload it to my DropBox.

If you are sending me your music, please know that you are submitting a song for general feedback or to keep me in the loop of what you got going on – not for a blog post.

Can you post my song/video/event/etc on your blog?

Some people mistakenly assume that MoeArora.com is a news site – it’s not.

This is a personal blog, so I don’t really post music or events unless it’s something I’m involved with. Even then, I still barely post those.

If you’re looking to get your music/video/event/etc posted, check out the links in my blogroll. There are plenty of sites listed there that would be more suited to what you’re looking for.

Can you feature me/my client on your site?

If you’re looking for press for a new single/album/product/etc – again, my blog is not the right outlet for that.

If you are looking for press, I’d suggest checking out the sites in my blogroll.

Do you do product/app reviews?

I don’t really do reviews on my blog, but I love testing new things out, and often discuss these things on Twitter.

If it’s truly relevant to the theme of my blog, I may consider discussing it here, as well.

If you choose to send me something, please remember that you are sending me something to see if I like it/will use it. If I do not like it, I won’t speak negatively of it, but I won’t make any mention of it.

Can I send you something in the mail?

If you are interesting in mailing/shipping me something, please send me a message first, telling me what it is that you want to send me, and if it will be sent via regular post or if it requires courier delivery.

If I feel confident that you’re not trying to send me anthrax or a mail-order bride, I’ll reply with my mailing address.

Who designed your blog and what do you use to run it?

MoeArora.com uses the Thesis theme for WordPress, which was developed by Chris Pearson.

I change the design of my blog pretty often so it’s likely that whatever you see today, may not be on the site 4 months from now. Or even 2 weeks from now. Still, most of the customizations, design and graphics on this site is a result of me messing around with things until I like what I see. I also occasionally get help from awesome friends when I realize I have no clue what I’m really doing.

I’m not a programmer, nor am I a graphic designer, but Thesis is easy enough for me to customize, so when I can’t sleep at night and feel like expressing my nerdy side – I read through the forums and try different things out until it turns into to something I like.

For my web hosting needs… well, I’ve dealt with a few different web hosting companies, but experienced too many headaches with them, so I shopped around quite a bit and ended up choosing MediaTemple.

They were the only hosting company that was able to offer me the flexibility that I needed, and have been great so far.

How much does it cost to run ads on your site?

It doesn’t cost anything, because I don’t run ads on here.

My blog has helped me generate revenue offline and I prefer keeping the site as clutter-free as possible, so I’m not really planning on placing ads on here anytime soon.

If you ever see anything on my blog that even remotely looks like an ad, it’s likely a project that I am involved with.

Would you be interested in exchanging links?

If you want to exchange links, please make sure to add a link to my blog, before contacting me.

The link should read “Moe Arora” or “MoeArora.com“.

I don’t have budget but I have a ton of promise, can you help me for free?

Sorry, but I cannot work for you for free.

I tried it before, and even called my phone company and the Visa people to tell them I was doing some stuff on the side for some people I’m kinda cool with, and that I was doing a few things for some major artists to “get my foot in the door”. Turns out, the phone company, the Visa people and even the grocery store where I stock my fridge, don’t actually care about any of that.

Crazy, right?

Anyways, I worked out this deal with all of them. Under this new agreement, they will continue to give me things like phone service, food, a home, gas, electricity… things of this nature; all in exchange for something called “money”.

Sweet deal!

So now, when I do any consulting, project management, tantrum counseling or any other kind of work, I do it in exchange for this so-called “money”.

So… are you for hire? How much do you charge?

At the current moment, I am not for hire. Sorry.

I will update this when I’m available to new clients again.

I’m an upcoming manager/professional, can you mentor me?

Me? I’m still coming up myself; but that’s what my blog is about – it’s about sharing experiences, knowledge and resources with other like-minded people, like you.

Check out some of the interviews I’ve done with other music industry professionals for some incredible insight and knowledge.

If there’s a topic in particular that you really want to know more about, to help advance your career; send me a message and I’ll do my best to do a blog post about it, or even feature someone who’s proven in that area, to clarify everything for you.

Also, you can join my network, and I’ll send you occasional emails about new blog posts, interviews, A&R submissions, and other music business opportunities.

Make sure to connect with me though. You can hit me up on Twitter. If you do add me on Twitter, make sure to send me a message so I know who you are and we can connect.
